Mały update:

1) Jeśli developer czy publisher wycofa grę ze sklepu Stadii to użytkownicy, którzy ją nabyli dalej będą mieć ją w swojej bibliotece.
2) uPlay+ będzie dostępne na Stadii

https://www.xda-developers.com/google-stadia-games-pricing-availability/

Najpierw wersja platna a darmowa dopiero w 2020.

Brakuje mi shooterow multiplayer i battleroyale bo chciałbym zobaczyć jakieś porównanie przykładowo takiego pubga sdaia edition z GeForce now żeby mieć jakieś odniesienie.

Zobaczymy.

Co z tego wyjdzie. Listopad juz niedlugo.

plusy i minusy stadii w porównaniu do geforce now znalezione na reddit...

Spoiler

Nvidia GeForce Now

Positives

1. Can play your supported Steam Games on a computer, Shield TV, or other supported device.

2. You already purchased Steam Games so you likely have a large catalog right out of the gate.

3. No downloading

4. The platform will grow and evolve. In time, better hardware will become available and your games will start to look better without more investment

5. Discounted steam games

Negatives

1. You will NEED to have a subscription to use their service.

2. For new games, you may have to wait for them to become available on the service if the game requires different specs.

3. There are no game developers developing exclusively for GeForce Now. They develop for Steam and NVidia takes on the burden of getting it to work on their platform.

4. They don't allow their cloud to host game servers for game developers. Can't take advantage of several things the cloud could do for them.

5. They are a smaller cloud provider and will likely be less able to support as many edge node locations (datacenters closer to consumers). Different people around the world will likely have suboptimal performance in places not supported.

6. Need internet.

Google Stadia

Positives

1. You can play any games you own on Stadia on a PC with a Chrome browser, a ChromeCast Ultra, and other supported devices.

2. Game developers are actively developing for the platform because of the unique things it provides.

3. As soon as games come out on Stadia, you will be able to play them immediately.

4. No downloading

5. Monthly fee is optional only if you want 4K with Surround Sound. 1080P with Stereo is free starting in 2020.

6. Stadia allows games to scale using more instances. This will make the games prettier and better beyond the specs of the individual VM.

7. Stadia can push the boundaries of gaming allowing infinitely scaling worlds, better AI for NPCs, better physics, and faster/more accurate multiplayer game play.

8. Stadia can revive split screen gaming. Before, one device had to support each of the split screens reducing quality/performance. Now individual instances can be rendered separately and display as one stream to the user giving higher quality and better performance for each split out screen.

9. There will never be a Stadia 2. The platform will grow and evolve. In time, better hardware will become available and your games will start to look better without more investment

10. The google cloud has more edge nodes (datacenters closer to consumers) than any other cloud provider so you will most likely get the least lag/delay/latency from Google than anyone else that tries to have a competing cloud based service.

11. Google will integrate with YouTube and allow you to stream game play and allow Streamers to create interactive experiences with their followers.

Negatives

1. You essentially start off from scratch. No games in your library.

2. If you do want to play in 4K with Surround sound, you do need a subscription. What is allowed on the basic/free will probably evolve over time as well though.

3. There probably won't be many discounts on games initially but it will likely become the case as Stadia ages.

4. Even though they have more edge nodes than anyone else, they still will have locations that they cannot support right away.

5. Need internet.

TLDR: Stadia is a platform. Nvidia GeForce Now is a service. There may be more initial benefits to Nvidia GeForce now to people that already own a lot of games on Steam but in the long run, Stadia has way more benefits.

"According to Google Stadia VP and head of product John Justice, the Stadia team is working hard to implement not just cross-platform play, but also cross-progression across as many games on the service as possible"

zeby zmienic temat i pocisnac czesciowym offtopem - Project Atlas od EA bazujacy na technologi GameFly Streaming oraz AWS powoli sie materializuje - uruchomiono wstepne testy w ramach ktorych sa 4ry gry. (https://www.theverge.com/2019/9/9/20857805/ea-cloud-gaming-service-surprise-closed-beta-project-atlas)

Coz pozyjemy zobaczymy.

Jesli chodzi o Stadia - moje zdanie pozostaje bez zmian. Bedzie okres testowy to przetestuje nie bedzie to nie przetestuje. Placic poki co za to nie zamierzam.
